Stories Survive Speakers Series: Erwin Forley
At our monthly Stories Survive Speaker Series, hear Holocaust survivors share their life stories in their own words.
Erwin Forley (né Feuerstein) grew up in Košice, Czechoslovakia and Munkacs, Hungary. After being sent into the Munkacs Ghetto, Erwin and his family were deported to Auschwitz, where he performed forced labor. He was later liberated by the Russian troops and made his way home to Munkacs to search for his family. Erwin reunited with his mother and sister and immigrated to the United States in 1946.
