HERE THERE ARE BLUEBERRIES
A Benefit Evening on Broadway for the Museum of Jewish Heritage

Wednesday, December 2, 2026 | 7:00 PM
Ethel Barrymore Theatre, 243 West 47th Street, New York, NY

Join the Museum of Jewish Heritage – A Living Memorial to the Holocaust for a special evening at the Broadway production of Here There Are Blueberries, organized by Museum Vice Chair Patti Askwith Kenner.

A finalist for the Pulitzer Prize for Drama, Here There Are Blueberries is based on real events. In 2007, an archivist at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum received an album of photographs from the Nazi era. Inside were images of the SS officers who ran Auschwitz, laughing, singing, and relaxing at a retreat just miles from the camp. The play follows the work of identifying these men and the questions their ordinary faces force us to confront.

It is a play about how history is preserved and why we must keep looking, even when what we see is hard to bear. That is the work the Museum does every day. Since 1997, New York's Holocaust museum has welcomed more than two million visitors, including tens of thousands of students each year. As antisemitism rises and fewer survivors are able to share their testimony, your support of this evening goes directly to that work.
