Aharon has devoted his life to raising his son Uri. They live together in a gentle routine, away from the real world. But Uri is autistic, and now as a young adult it might be time for him to live in a specialized home. While on their way to the institution, Aharon decides to run away with his son and hits the road, knowing that Uri is not ready for this separation. Or is it, in fact, his father who is not ready?

Here We Are is a powerful new film from Israeli director Nir Bergman, the creator of the award-winning TV series “In Treatment.” This soulful drama touches on family ties, the rights of the differently-abled, and the sadness of aging.

The film will be screened twice in the Museum's Edmond J. Safra Hall: Wednesday, June 30 at 4:30 PM and Sunday, July 4 at 2:00 PM. Click the button that says "click here to change date" at the top of this page to select your screening slot.

Tickets are $5 each for Museum members or $10 each for the general public. If you're not a member, join today. If you're already a member, log in and the member discount will be reflected in your cart.
