At our monthly Stories Survive Speaker Series, hear Holocaust survivors share their life stories in their own words.

On June 2, Paulette Singer Barrett will share her experiences.

Paulette Singer Barrett was born in Paris, France in 1938. Her mother came to Paris from Romania to study medicine, while Paulette’s Polish father was representing the family’s business of egg export. When World War II erupted, Paulette’s family fled to Le Puy, a town in the south of France. The family passed as Catholics with help from members of the French Resistance. Due to their efforts, all three family members survived and immigrated to the U.S. in 1947.

Paulette has a Master’s Degree in Journalism from Columbia University and has worked for several major PR firms and non-profit organizations as a senior executive, communications consultant, and a freelance journalist.
