Sir Frank London, Grammy Award winner, founder and member of The Klezmatics, is known for creating spectacular extravaganzas celebrating Jewish life and Yiddish culture, always through a multi-cultural lens. Some of New York’s finest klezmer musicians, the Klezmer Brass Allstars have toured internationally, recorded 5 cds, and collaborated with everyone from Serbian Roma superstar Boban Marcovic to Brazilian Carnaval party-makers Maracatú New York.
For this special concert event, Frank London’s Klezmer Brass Allstars are joined by Yiddish singer/actor Eleanor Reissa and Punjabi percussion virtuoso Deep Singh. They will feature songs of love, protest, celebration, political commentary, Holocaust and liberation; from their collaborations Vilde mekhaye - Wild Ecstacy, and Mir geyen nisht tsurik / No Looking Back.
Frank was knighted for his work celebrating multi-cultural Jewish music and honoring those killed in the Holocaust in Hungary.
