The Legacy of "Schindler's List": Commemorating the Film's 30th Anniversary - In Person

Schindler’s List launched a movement. Steven Spielberg’s seminal film, released 30 years ago in late 1993, brought Holocaust remembrance to the forefront of popular culture. It also gave rise to the establishment of the USC Shoah Foundation, which activated thousands of volunteers around the world to record Holocaust testimonies, amassing one of the most substantial collections in the world. Three decades after the Oscar-winning movie's release, how has it contributed to the evolution of Holocaust history and memory? How have museums, memorial sites, and other Shoah-related films continued to preserve survivor stories? What still remains to be done?
